The coastline off Bermagui is simply breathtaking and being able to showcase Montague Island is a privilege. Montague Island rests in the shadow of Gulaga Mountain and is located in the Batemans Marine Park, a nature lover's paradise.

It is home to both Australian and New Zealand Fur Seal colonies, Little Penguin colonies, Grey Nurse Shark breeding grounds and thousands of seabirds nest here each year.

It holds special cultural significance to the local Aboriginal peoples and is rich in history. The waters between Bermagui and Montague are full of wildlife with Dolphins and Seals (year round) and Whales (May to November) moving through them.

If you want to see marine wildlife then Montague Island is the place to go!

For the avid photographer the coastline surrounding Bermagui is inspiring, with iconic locations like Horsehead Rock and Camel Rock just waiting for you to come and photograph.

Once the tour is finished, head into Bermagui, have lunch and wander around this friendly, trendy seaside village. There are plenty of great shops, delicious cafes and the fabulous Blue Pool - perfect for a day trip. There is so much to see and do in Bermagui, if you are not staying here then please come and visit for the day!

This tour departs from Bermagui Harbour aboard our comfortable, 16m stable vessel, True Blue.

As we journey to Montague Island, we will enjoy the breathtaking coastline and search for dolphins, seals and other wildlife along the way!

When we arrive at Montague Island we will pull up for a cuppa and homebaked goodies and enjoy morning or afternoon tea with the seals and seabirds!

Depending upon the weather, we will hopefully circumnavigate the Island and share stories of it's importance, both culturally and ecologically, before heading back to Bermagui.

Please note: at this stage this tour does not disembark onto the island but rest assured we will share plenty of information about this special place!
